Mr. Dilip Tahil
 
ISKCON Food Relief foundation Midday Meal Project takes great pride in introducing its very own brand ambassador Mr Dalip Tahil. Mr. Tahil is a very popular and talented actor of the Indian Film Fraternity. People have seen him on reel life in myriad versatile roles sometimes playing a villain, a successful businessman, a father or a police officer. He was born on the 30th of October 1954 and completed his education from Sherwood College in Nainital and graduated from St. Xavier’s college, Mumbai after completing a year at Aligarh Muslim University in Aligarh.
 

Apart from bollywood, Mr. Tahil has successfully created a niche for himself in theatre, television and on the international forefront too. Some of his great works have been Shaan ( his breakthrough film in 1980), the international award winning film ‘Gandhi’ in 1982, ‘Partner’ in 2007, ‘Race’ in 2008, popular Indian television serial ‘Buniyaad’ directed by Mr. Ramesh Sippy, Sanjay Khan’s ‘The Sword of Tipu Sultan’  and internationally acclaimed musicals such as ‘Bombay Dreams’ and ‘Evita’.

 

Mr Dalip Tahil visited the Midday Meal Kitchen in February 2009 and was highly impressed with the operational system used for the preparation of the nutritionally enriched khichadi. In addition he was very proactive and enthusiastic about making this project gain recognition among the Indian and the international audience as well. His involvement with the project has opened various innovative and fruitful avenues to help us spread the word.
